Cambridgeshire Older People's Enterprise and St. Luke's Church are hosting a Silver Sunday Afternoon Tea - an Afternoon Tea of tasty sandwiches and cake and a fun sociable time with music and singalong. If you know any older people who would enjoy such an event and should be invited, please give their names to Heather Taplin, 01223 311136, who will arrange for a Free ticket. There is a small charge of £2 for other tickets, available at the door.
The idea for a Silver Sunday was launched in 2012 by the Sir Simon Milton Foundation, with the aim of celebrating older people and helping them get out and about to meet others. This year COPE and St. Luke's are jointly hosting this event. We would like to include people from the whole parish, particularly those who do not get out very often. There will also be a special 'Cambridge Celebrates Age' Coffee Morning at St. Augustine's Church, Richmond Road on 26th October.
