Again this year Mette and Charlotte, our Danish experts, will help us start the Advent time with the Danish tradition of binding your own advent wreath. In Denmark you use this wreath indoors for counting down to Christmas with four candles, but you can also come to this workshop to make a festive and welcoming wreath for your front door.

Bring secateurs and any favourite decorations and if you have specific ribbons that you wish to use. We supply the instruction and the basic components of straw, wire, pine cuttings, traditional ribbons and candles. Basic Charge for the materials per wreath is £12, and if you want to add the candles, +£2 for 4 candles.

Traditional Danish spicy biscuits and 'gløgg' ( like mulled wine ) will be on sale, with soft drinks for children. Download a poster here.

The Workshop is for The Namuncha Community Schools Project, supporting Kenyan Girls Secondary School Education. You can read more on their Facebook page.
