By popular request, to cheer up the dark winter Saturday evenings, St Luke’s are holding a short series of travel talks with themed suppers. Come and be transported around the world and sample the culinary delights of the country you visit.
This first talk will take you to Mauritius. You can download a flier below.
At 7.00 pm we will be serving a themed hot supper, a traditional Mauritian meal of Chicken daube. As with many Creole dishes the chicken is served with onions and is in a tomato based sauce. Garlic, ginger and coriander are the main spices used. This will be served on a bed of rice with green beans.
Our usual variety of puddings will be available and coffee and tea will be served.
Soft drinks are included but you are welcome to bring along any alcoholic drink that you would like to have with supper.
Tickets will be on sale at the beginning of January price £10. There will also be a raffle.
Further dates for your diaries are:
25th February - Brazil
25th March - Iceland - land of ice and fire.
Supper on each occasion will be served at 7.00 pm.
