Why pay gym fees when you can have some healthy outdoor exercise, helping to clear graves under expert guidance as part of this 'macro-gardening' project. This monthly working party meets for a couple of hours monthly at the Burial Ground (off Huntingdon Road), to work under the guidance of Rod Ailes. Warm clothing, stout shoes and gloves are advised, and you can do as much or as little as you wish - all help will be greatly appreciated. Tools will be available but you can also bring along your own secateurs, loppers and waste sacks, and do bring a drink as well, as it can be thirsty work.
This December session will be followed by refreshments- mince pies and mulled wine or soft drinks.
The Friends aim to protect and enhance these remarkable burial grounds for the public benefit as a place of remembrance, spirituality, history and nature. You can read more about the Friends and join here. New members are most welcome.
