“Brexit means Brexit.” Even after 31st January, the meaning is not likely to be much clearer. The UK is setting out on a long journey into an unknown future while undergoing a crisis of identity. Historian, Professor David Reynolds, draws on his recent book “Island Stories: Britain and its History in the Age of Brexit” to suggest a few pointers and warnings from our past.
