This monthly working party meets at the Burial Ground (off Huntingdon Road) to clear graves, working under the guidance of Rod Ailes for a couple of hours. We are returning cautiously to our monthly working pattern, with strict social distancing throughout the two hour session. Please come with any protective clothing that you are currently wearing when outside, such as a mask, in addition to gardening gloves and stout shoes. Secateurs, loppers and any garden waste sacks are very desirable if you have them. It can also be thirsty work, so do bring a drink as well.
This is the last work party for the year, and we will celebrate appropriately with mulled drinks and mince pies.
Dates for 2021 will be published soon!
The Friends aim to protect and enhance these remarkable burial grounds for the public benefit as a place of remembrance, spirituality, history and nature. You can read more about the Friends and join here. New members are most welcome.
