Rev'd Deborah McVey

Rev’d Deborah McVey combines two ministries; a half-time post as minister at St Luke's Local Ecumenical Partnership, Victoria Road, Cambridge, and half-time with the chaplaincy team at Addenbrooke’s hospital.

Deborah is married to William (35 years) and taught in mainstream and special primary schools before having a family of four, now adult, children. Grandchildren, Milly and Louis were born in the autumn 2008, within five weeks of one another. Deborah was ordained in 1998 to the ministry of Word and Sacrament in the United Reformed Church, then served as Community Chaplain in a doctors' surgery, whilst Associate Minister in Emmanuel URC, Cambridge. For her MA in Pastoral Theology dissertation she focused on the potential for chaplaincy in primary healthcare.
