Vintage Movie Night at St. Giles'

All are welcome to this screening of a 1944 film noir directed by Billy Wilder. Entrance is free, donations are welcome (£3 - £5 suggested), popcorn and other light refreshments are available. Your Cambridge Heritage - What does a Porter do All Day?

Your Cambridge Heritage is a series of free lectures hosted by the Friends of St. Giles' Church, given every second Thursday of the Month at 11am in St Giles' Church. Refreshments are served from 10.30 am.

A Journey through Central America - travel talk and supper

A traditional Costa Rican meal will be served and the travel talk by Paul and Sylvia Custerson will follow. The ticket- £10- includes two courses and soft drinks. Bring your own alcoholic drink if you wish. A raffle will follow.

This is the first of three enjoyable and informative fund-raising evenings. The next are a 'Tour of Arctic Spitsbergen' on 10th February, and visits to major capital cities around the Baltic Sea on 10th March.

Friends of the Ascension Burial Ground - Working Party

Why pay gym fees when you can have some healthy outdoor exercise, helping to clear graves under expert guidance as part of this 'macro-gardening' project. This monthly working party meets for a couple of hours monthly at the Burial Ground (off Huntingdon Road), to work under the guidance of Rod Ailes. Warm clothing, stout shoes and gloves are advised, and you can do as much or as little as you wish - all help will be greatly appreciated.
