Cambridge Vocal Consort

St John the Evangelist Romanian Orthodox Parish, in partnership with Cambridge Vocal Consort, offers a charitable performance of vocal music from the repertoire of western sacred music and two choral pieces in Romanian. This follows the regular Sunday Divine Service.

Cambridge Vocal Consort was founded by Colin Fludgate in 2015 and aims to take high-quality choral music to those who don't normally have the opportunity to enjoy it.

This is an ecumenical Prayer group for the churches at Castle that will help us deepen our prayer lives and come closer to God in Quiet Reflection and Prayer. We will meet monthly in each church in rotation. We hope that the timing will enable those at work to drop in on their way home.

St Luke's Knitting Group

Knit & chat! A group that meets monthly on the First Wednesday of the month. Come to knit your own items, or to make give away knits. We have an exciting new project to support The Ambulance Service.

All are welcome, (whatever your skill level) wool and pattern are supplied. If you can't knit just come along to learn, or to enjoy the company. Donations of wool are very welcome.

This monthly working party meets at the Burial Ground (off Huntingdon Road) to clear graves, working under the guidance of Rod Ailes for a couple of hours. Please bring gloves (if you have them) and stout shoes are essential, secateurs, loppers and any garden waste sacks very desirable if you have them. It can also be thirsty work, so do bring a drink as well.

This final meeting of the year will be followed by mulled wine and mince pies. All are welcome to come.
