The Building of King's College Chapel

We know from King’s College Archives many details of the building of the world renowned chapel, such as the number and types of materials used, the workmen, what they were paid, how the materials were delivered, and what the building cost. Dr. Patricia McGuire, the College Archivist, will describe the completion of the stone structure, taking it to the state ready to receive its magnificent windows.

Burns Night Ceilidh at St. Giles'

Join us for a lively evening of music and dancing in the impressive gothic surrounds of St Giles' Church. The Big Cambridge Calais Sleepout

Creative Textiles at St. Giles'

Margaret Waring, textile historian and member of The Textiles Society and The Embroiderers' Guild, will be running a series of monthly, creative textiles workshops at St. Giles' Church, between 10 am and 12 noon on the 4th Saturday of the month. This is the initial meeting, to discuss a programme of activities. In general all materials will be provided, and the cost will be a £15 per session donation, for the benefit of the Friends of St. Giles' Church.
