Friends of Ascension Burial Ground Working Party

This monthly working party meets at the Burial Ground (off Huntingdon Road) to clear graves, working under the guidance of Rod Ailes for a couple of hours. Please bring gloves (if you have them) and stout shoes are essential, secateurs, loppers and any garden waste sacks very desirable if you have them. It can also be thirsty work, so do bring a drink as well.

Further dates this year are: 16th November and 7th December (followed by mulled wine and mince pies).

Homelessness and Heartbreak: Violence & the Crisis in Young Women's Housing

Councillors Claire Richards (Castle) and Jocelynne A. Scutt (Arbury) are hosting this open meeting to continue to draw attention to the plight of young women in Cambridge and Cambridgeshire and to seek community support and solutions for addressing the problem. The panel of speakers, including Angie Stewart of Cambridge Women’s Aid, Caroline Mackechnie-Jarvis of Corona House, Ruth Jackson Ravenscroft of Whitworth House and Cllr Richard Johnson, will provide insights with an opportunity for questions and discussion, including ideas for the way forward.

Community Sunday Lunch

A European Evening of Music and Food
