SUMMARY:Friends of the Ascension Burial Ground Working Party
DESCRIPTION:\nThis monthly working party meets at the Burial Ground (off Huntingdon Road) to enjoy some healthy outdoor exercise and help keep the vegetation under control while preserving and developing the cemetery as a haven for wild-life. Volunteers are very welcome – you can do as much or as little as you wish – all help is greatly appreciated.  All volunteers are reminded that they should dress appropriately for work in the burial ground and take care for their own safety and that of others working. In particular, you should wear sturdy footwear since the ground is uneven and gravestones are overgrown. Please also bring your own gloves. Secateurs and loppers are very desirable if you have them but tools will also be provided. It can be thirsty work, so do bring a drink as well.
