Accessibility

We are a member of and share the vision of Inclusive Church, as we strive to celebrate and affirm every person without discrimination on grounds of disability, economic power, ethnicity, gender, gender identity, learning disability, mental health, neurodiversity, or sexuality. We believe in a Church which welcomes and serves all people in the name of Jesus Christ; which is scripturally faithful; which seeks to proclaim the Gospel afresh for each generation; and which, in the power of the Holy Spirit, allows all people to grasp how wide and long and high and deep is the love of Jesus Christ.

We aim to make our buildings and worship accessible to all. If you have encountered difficulties in this regard in our current provisions, please let us know.

Access in the Church Centres

St Augustine’s

All rooms for hire are on the ground floor and there are no steps up into the building or internally. There is a toilet adapted for disabled use.

St Giles’

The Church is fully accessible apart from the high altar and Lady Chapel. It is possible to park close to the disabled access entrance on the west wall. This leads to an internal ramp and disabled users’ toilet.

St Luke’s

The Church Centre has full disabled facilities – including toilets, parking and lift access to the first floor.

During Services

Large print orders of service and Readings sheets are available on Sundays. There is a hearing loop in operation in all three churches’ churches, and large screens are used at St Luke’s. Please feel free to sit wherever and however is most comfortable. If you wish to receive a gluten-free wafer there will be people on hand happy to help.
