Septimius Severus
Septimius Severus, born in modern day Libya of mixed Italian and Libyan heritage, rose to power in the late 2nd century. Dr Carole Leronardi, who gave us such a heartfelt talk on the Windrush Generation in Cambridge last year, will talk about this actively campaigning emperor who expanded the boundaries of the Roman empire.
Her talk is part of the Autumn programme of talks and recitals at St Augustine’s church, supported by the local Roads’ Associations (Windsor, Richmond, Oxford and Benson Area). A complimentary glass of wine or fruit juice and nibbles are served at most events. Retiring collection.
The September talks will focus on aspects of Creation science and Christian responsibility and October’s themes celebrate Black History month. You can view the full programme HERE or pick up a leaflet in one of our churches.
