All our churches are striving to demonstrate that the gospel is good news for the whole of God’s earth, in every aspect of our life, communally and individually. This commitment encompasses our use of all the resources over which we have control and use: buildings, land, utilities and consumables, the messages we promote and share and the way we live our lives.
To this end we are committed to the ‘Eco Church’ scheme and are delighted to have been awarded bronze and silver awards for our churches as a first stage. We will continue to use guidance from the scheme, the Diocese, the CofE and other sources to improve the environmental sustainability of all we manage and do progressively.
We welcome links with local and national environmental groups.
